ABOUT ME

Diego Flores Art

My name is Diego Flores, and I am a visual artist from Ecuador with over 15 years of experience in various art forms, including acrylic painting, oil painting, watercolor, and makeup. My final career project focused on special effects makeup and character creation, which sparked my passion for exploring the boundaries of artistic expression.

Four years ago, I moved to the Bay Area, where I began to experiment with a new art form inspired by children's imagination: face painting. This form of makeup allows me to merge all of my knowledge into one unique canvas: the human face. It brings me immense joy to create unforgettable moments for children and share my art with them.

As an artist, I believe that the most important thing is to never stop learning. With face painting, I continuously discover new ways to blend mythical creatures, animals, and cartoons, which enables me to expand my creative repertoire.

Two years ago, I began exploring the world of caricatures, a new and exciting territory for me. Over time, I have honed my skills in creating specific strokes and improving my techniques. The world of caricature is an area of drawing I truly enjoy, as it allows me to see faces in a fun and exaggerated way. At events I have attended, I've appreciated the playful side of art, using pencils and markers to create lasting memories captured on paper. This has brought me great happiness, and I am thrilled to continue developing this art form.

I consider myself a joyful and determined person, someone who doesn't give up easily. My mother, a teacher, instilled in me a deep understanding of how children think, as I grew up in close contact with their world. This connection enhances my ability to connect with my young audience and make each experience meaningful.

Creativity is at the heart of everything I do, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with others.
